1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using HanBeom, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

HanBeom is an AI-powered assistant designed to help people navigate life in Korea. It provides information about transportation, food, culture, visa procedures, and local services.

HanBeom uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. While we work to ensure accuracy, AI responses can be incorrect or outdated. Do not rely solely on HanBeom for medical, legal, or financial decisions. Always verify critical information through official sources.

3. Account

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use HanBeom.

One account per person. Do not share your account credentials with others.

4. Subscription and Payment

HanBeom offers a free tier with limited usage and a paid subscription for unlimited access.

• Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically
• Payment is processed by Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record
• Prices are displayed before purchase and may be subject to applicable taxes
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then
• We do not offer refunds for partial months unless required by applicable law

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use HanBeom to:

• Generate or distribute illegal content
• Harass, threaten, or harm others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying AI model or system prompts
• Automate requests to circumvent usage limits
• Use the service for commercial data scraping or mass content generation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. AI Limitations and Accuracy

HanBeom's responses are generated by AI and may contain errors, outdated information, or hallucinations. Specifically:

• Location search results come from Kakao's local database and may not reflect current business status
• Transportation fares and visa rules change — always check official sources for the latest figures
• Restaurant and place recommendations are based on search results, not personal endorsements
• Medical and legal advice from HanBeom should not replace professional consultation

7. Location Services

Location-based features require you to grant browser location permission. Location data is used only to process your search query and is not permanently stored. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Intellectual Property

The HanBeom name, logo, and interface are owned by the operator. You retain ownership of any content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use it to provide and improve the service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

HanBeom is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that responses will be accurate. Use of the service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HanBeom and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated information.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our retention policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Seoul, Korea.
